Superb Productivity Performance

VIA StepAhead TechnologyThe VIA PV530 processor offers a host of performance features. These include StepAhead™ Advanced Branch Prediction, sixteen pipeline stages, support for SSE2 and the advanced SSE3 multimedia 3D instruction sets, a full-speed Floating Point Unit (FPU) and an efficiency-enhanced 128KB full-speed exclusive L2 cache with 32-way associativity for memory optimization. Altogether these features make possible a smooth desktop experience for productivity-based users.

VIA PowerSaver Technology

Further enhancing power efficiency, all current VIA processors feature the innovative VIA PowerSaver technology that dynamically adjusts processor clock speed depending on the performance demands of running applications. Recently certified for its outstanding energy efficiency, VIA PowerSaver is able to reduce computational energy usage by at least 40% when compared to fixed-frequency operation, which not only reduces power costs, but also greatly aids efforts to reduce the amount of CO2 that is emitted into our environment.


VIA Padlock Security

In today's computing environments the security of personal, corporate or national data is more important than ever before, especially when stored on devices like hard drives and removable storage. To help combat this threat, VIA has integrated a powerful set of security tools into all recent processor cores, called the VIA PadLock Security Engine, a suite of software that uses industry-leading data encryption algorithms to protect information exchanged and stored, as well as enabling developers to build this functionality into their applications.

The VIA PadLock™ Security Engine is hardware based security technology that provides the latest military-grade encryption and protection with the world's fastest x86 security engine. This, when enabled by applications, can provide this technology with little or no impact to the performance of applications being executed.
