Easy Setup of System with Multi Displays

What really makes multi-display support possible is the choice of a motherboard featuring VIA’s DualGFX technology, as integrated in the latest VIA PT894 Pro and VIA PT880 Pro chipsets for the Intel®Pentium? 4 processor platform, and the forthcoming VIA K8T890 Pro chipset for the AMD64 processor platform. Motherboards based on this new generation of high-performance VIA chipsets support dual graphics cards, allowing easy connection to two, three, or even four monitors, and making multi-display platforms much more viable.

With the VIA DualGFX Express feature, two graphics cards are inserted into the slots on the board and once driver installation is complete, both graphics cards are automatically recognized and configured by the OS.

Once the graphics cards have been configured, one needs to go into the Display properties and enable the screens and extend the Windows desktop across each screen.

In Windows XP, this configuration is very simple with an easy to use graphical interface allowing one to move the screens around to match their physical order so the mouse pans from side-to-side properly. Additionally, each screen can also be individually configured for resolution and color quality.
