Based on the highly power-efficient VIA C7®-D processor and the VIA CN700 digital media chipset supporting the 400MHz VIA V4 bus, and boasting leading memory, multimedia, connectivity and storage technologies including DDR2, hardware MPEG-2 decoding acceleration and SATA, the VIA pc2500 mainboard is fully compatible with Microsoft® Windows® XP and Linux operating systems.
