Chen has been the President & CEO of VIA Technologies,
Inc. since 1992 and has overseen its transition
from chipset designer to a leading developer of
silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions.
Mr. Chen's strong background in logic design,
marketing, and business strategy has propelled
VIA to be one of the foremost fabless semiconductor
design houses in the world.
Prior to 1992, Mr. Chen co-founded and was President
& CEO of Symphony Laboratories. He also held
positions of VP Sales and Marketing at hi-tech
start up ULSI, and senior architect at Intel Corporation.
Mr. Chen holds an MSEE degree from National Taiwan
University and an MSCS from the California Institute
of Technology.

Morris Chang

Dr. Morris Chang has been the founding Chairman
of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company
Ltd. (TSMC) since 1987. TSMC pioneered the "dedicated
foundry" segment of IC industry and is the
largest dedicated foundry in the world.
Prior to his career in Taiwan, Dr. Chang's career
was in the United States. He was the President
and Chief Operating Officer of General Instrument
Corporation in 1984-1985, and prior to that, he
was at Texas Instruments for 25 years (1958-1983),
where he was responsible for TI's worldwide semiconductor
business for six years.
Dr. Chang received his B. S. and M. S. degrees
in Mechanical Engineering from M. I. T. in 1952
and 1953, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
from Stanford in 1964. He received honorary doctorates
from Chiao-Tung University, Ching-Hua University,
and Central University in Taiwan and Polytechnic
University in the U. S.
Dr. Chang was selected by Time Magazine and CNN
as Top 25 of the Most Influential CEOs in 2001. |

KC Tang began his career at Infineon
Technologies in 1995 as a Marketing Engineer for
the Memory Products Division in the organization.
In September 1996, he was promoted to Senior Engineer
where he took charge of all Regional Key Accounts
in Asia Pacific.
KC acquired the role of Senior Director, Marketing
for Memory Products for Asia Pacific in January
2002.
Prior to working for Infineon, KC had worked for
2 years as a Sales Engineer specialized in PCB
connectors and fiber optics products. KC graduated
from Nanyang Technological University with a Degree
in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He
is happily married with a 5 year-old daughter
and a 2 year-old son.

With over two decades in the technology sector,
Chief Technology Officer Toby Farrand has long
been a pioneer of digital applications that enhance
consumers' lives. Farrand has driven technical
innovations in the areas of audio, video, graphics
and telecommunications.
Prior to the merger with Digeo, Farrand was vice
president of engineering at Moxi Digital. Before
Moxi, Farrand was president and chief executive
officer of BroadLogic Network Technologies, which
focused on using satellites to deliver IP data
for consumer and enterprise applications. Farrand
founded the company with funding from Intel, General
Electric, August Capital and Walden and grew revenue
from zero to $19MM in two years.
Prior to BroadLogic, Farrand founded and served
as president and chief executive officer of CagEnt
Technologies, Inc., sold to Microsoft in 1998.
Before CagEnt, Farrand was senior vice president
of engineering and general manager of the Systems
Division of The 3DO Company. Farrand led the development
of 3DO's game console system, licensed to leading
companies such as Panasonic, Toshiba, Scientific
Atlanta and Samsung.
Farrand started his career at Apple Computer,
leading the initial development of Apple's PowerPC
computer line.
Farrand has a BSEE and MSEE from Stanford University.

McNaught

Jeff is widely considered the foremost spokesperson

experience of hundreds of speaking engagements,
articles, and press interviews, he is acclaimed
for being an authority on the topic of thin client
computing and is responsible for the worldwide
communications and efforts for Wyse. Jeff spearheaded
the development of the award-winning Winterm terminals
and played an instrumental role in the creation
of the Winterm line, the first Windows terminal
to ship in volume. Jeff joined the Wyse team in

Dirk
Meyer

Dirk Meyer is executive vice president of the
Computation Products Group at AMD and has responsibility
for all product development, manufacturing, operations
and marketing in support of AMD's microprocessor
business.
He joined AMD in 1996 as the director of engineering
for the AMD Athlon (tm) microprocessor development
program in Austin, Texas. In April 1999, Meyer
was promoted to the position of vice president
of engineering for the Computation Products Group.
He assumed his current set of responsibilities
in February 2001.
Meyer came to AMD from Digital Equipment Corporation,
where he worked for nearly a decade and was co-architect
of the Alpha 21064 and 21264 microprocessors.
Meyer's microprocessor industry experience includes
tenures at not only AMD and Digital but also Intel
Corporation. Over the years, he has been involved
in the design of x86, Alpha, VAX, and embedded
processors.
Meyer graduated from the University of Illinois,
where he received a bachelor's degree in computer
engineering. He also received a master's degree
in business administration from Boston University.

Elie Ayache is the Director of Marketing for the
Frequency Timing Generator product line at the
Timing Technology Division of Cypress Semiconductor.
Elie has been with Cypress Semiconductor for over
3 years, having previously held marketing and
engineering positions at International Microcircuits
Inc. and Silicon Systems. Elie started as an ASIC
designer for eight years, where he designed one
of the first clock generators used in Personal
Computers, the 386 platform. Elie has also designed
one of the first EMI attenuation spread spectrum
devices. Before moving to marketing, Elie managed
an applications engineering group.
Elie earned a bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering (BSEE) from Santa Clara University,
California in 1987, and holds patents for clock
management for "green PC" applications
and for the strapping bi-directional pin, both

Eric Chang is Special Assistant to the President
and Strategic Marketing Director of VIA Technologies,
Inc., with a primary focus on market and product
development in server and storage applications.
Mr. Chang re-joined VIA this year from RedSwitch
Inc., a startup company with InfiniBand products
and advanced switch technology, where he served
as Vice President of Marketing. From 1997-2001,
Mr. Chang worked as the Strategic Marketing Director
at VIA as PC133/DDR program evangelist. Prior
to joining VIA, Mr. Chang had 10 years experience
in PC system design and chipset architecture at
Intel Corp., and held various marketing positions
at S3 Inc. and ESS Technologies. Mr. Chang has
been a pioneer of SMA architecture since 1996

With 8x8 Inc. he served as Marketing Director

compression products. He developed MPEG decoder
chips at the Motorola/Philips Design Centre in
the Netherlands. At Dallas Semiconductor he developed
SRAM's, RF, and mixed signal IC's and worked as
an FAE in Silicon Valley. At Motorola he worked
in process, device, and BiCMOS design engineering.
Kevin has over 20 patents and holds a BA in Theoretical

Jeng is currently the marketing director for the
Greater China region at VIA Technologies, Inc,
and in this capacity is responsible for the planning
and execution of VIAs marketing strategies
in China. Frank joined VIA in 1995 as a marketing
specialist and was promoted to Manager of VIAs
Marketing Division in 1997, responsible for marketing
in Taiwan and China. During the time when VIA
was preparing to be listed on the Taiwan Stock
Exchange, Frank was also the contact window for
investment institutions, banks and investors.
Prior to joining VIA he worked for World Peace
Industrial Co. Ltd as a marketing supervisor responsible

Jeff Lee

in Beijing, Jeff is responsible for evangelizing

where he launched a multimedia home PC in China
and managed the companys PC business in
Hong Kong. Before Lenovo, he was in charge of

Graphics in Mountain View, California. Jeff began

Steven Lee is responsible for both VNT and VEPD

Steven trained as an engineer in both materials
science and electronic engineering, gaining a
Ph.D and D.Eng in Engineering from UCLA. Prior
to joining VIA, Steven worked for over ten years
at AT&T/NCR Microelectronics Division in various
managerial positions, before moving to Applied
Materials in Santa Clara as Corporate Marketing
Director, followed by over four years at Lam Research
as Executive Deputy Managing Director. Steven
joined VIA in November 2002.

joining Agilent, Li founded RedSwitch, a leading

innovative InfiniBand technology to the server
market. Prior to RedSwitch, Li spent over nine
years in various management positions at HAL Computer

Dr Gerry (Shao-Hung) Liu is currently vice president
of marketing and chief financial officer of S3
Graphics, an affiliate company of VIA Technologies,
Inc. (TSE:2388).
Dr. Liu has been previously president of Trident
Microsystems Videographics Division and co-managed
its venture investment fund. Formerly a two-time
entrepreneur prior to joining Trident through
its acquisition of Omega Micro, Dr. Liu had been
founder and president of two venture-backed companies,
Knights Technology developing deep-submicron yield
enhancement software and Omega Micro for mobile
IC design, which were separately acquired by Electroglas
(1997) and Trident (1996).
Dr Liu was a board member of Monte Jade Science
and Technology Association, general chair of Sino-American
Technology and Engineering Conference, past president
and chairman of Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA
and a founding board member and past vice president
of Chinese Software Processional Association.

Jon Peddie is one of the pioneers of the graphics
industry, starting his career in computer graphics
in 1962. After the successful launch of several

industry. In 2001 Peddie left JPA and formed Jon
Peddie Research (JPR) to provide customer intimate
